Piero Salardi
Founder, Art & Creative Director
In 2003 I opened Ploovia in Lima with my sister Chiara. We designed brands, bottles and labels for Peruvian spirits like Pisco Pozo Santo, Ron Cartavio and Capricho de Cartavio, and campaigns for Absolut Vodka and Bacardi Rum.
Our clients included Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, Universidad Científica del Sur, El Comercio, Citibank and Junior Achievement Perú. Our work was published in China, Brazil and South Korea.
From 2007 I led the studio from Australia and then Brazil. In 2013 I closed it to work as a freelance designer. Ploovia Creatives is the new chapter: the same studio spirit, now with web design, motion design, sound design and interactive web experiences.
Chiara Salardi
General Executive & Financial Manager, video editor, graphic designer
Chiara began her career as a video editor at Chroma Producciones in Lima, cutting TV commercials, music videos and on-air promos.
She joined Ploovia to produce a product catalogue for one of our international clients. Her editor’s eye for timing and composition carried naturally into print, and she delivered ahead of schedule.
She soon became a partner in the studio. Together we grew Ploovia into an established design studio, with our own office in Miraflores, a team of three designers and ten years of work for clients in Peru and abroad, from 2003 to 2013.
Today Chiara teaches yoga at her own shala in Miraflores, Ashtanga Yoga Lima.
